PARISH PULSE – JANUARY 2009
The AGM will be combined with
an evening to wine and dine and meet with friends. Margaret Lagimodière
and Anne Drake are once again putting their culinary skills to work and we look
forward to enjoying this treat. The
annual report will be presented during the evening to bring everyone up-to-date
with the year’s activities. Please mark
the date and join us.

DROP
IN PLAY CENTRE: St. Mary’s Parish Hall, Tuesdays 9::30 to
Twenty-five Mom's and their Tots had a
wonderful Christmas Party at Whitlock. There
was even an offer to have another evening of free curling, which will happen in
the new year.
It is so good to see the bond between the Moms develop into true
friendships. The weekly drop-in is at St.
Mary’s Parish Hall,
BAPTISMS:
Braydon Hubert Oldford, son of Tonia Gover and
Dwayne Oldford was baptized at St. Mary’s on December
28th.
DEATHS:
Stephen Boyes father of Alison Bentley died in
William Kowal, father of Christine Cooper died
on November 28th.
Diana Cobbett, sister of David Cobbett, died on December 20th.

A point of clarification: Please note that in
question #1 of the questionnaire the scale to rate satisfaction is 1 - very
satisfied to 5 - very unsatisfied.
Please return the
questionnaire that was sent out with the latest Wardens' letter as your input
is all important. Return can be via the collection plate, fax, or mail to the
office or by handing to a warden.
If you have misplaced your
copy there are more available at the back of the church.

NOTE: All Committee Chairmen must hand
in their annual reports to the parish office by e-mail or hard copy by January
18th to be included in the vestry book which will be available the
Sunday before the meetings.
ST. JAMES SLATE OF OFFICERS
FOR 2009:
A Nominating Committee of two members from the congregation, comprising
of Graham Campbell and Michael Legg has been appointed to consider nominations
for the Slate of Officers for 2009 to be presented at Vestry on Feb. 1st. If you have any suggestions
