THE VAUDREUIL PARISH PULSE

JULY 2007

SUMMER SERVICE HYMNS FOR THE YOUNG AT HEART :

Do You remember “Jesus Bids Us Shine”, Jesus Loves Me, When He Cometh, Tell me the Stories of Jesus? We have found such favourites which have not been sung at St. Mary’s or St. James for some time because they are not included in the new Hymn Book. To set matters right, we have chosen a different one of them to be sung at each of the Summer Services (July 9:30 am at St. James and August 9:30 am at St. Mary’s). Come along and bring the young ones who may never have heard them. Let them join in with you and sing some favourites from your childhood and youth.

EDITOR OF PULSE:

As many of you will know, Neil and Patti Ann Gannon and their family will be moving to Edmonton sometime shortly. Patti Ann is currently the editor, and one of the contacts for submitting articles for publication in the monthly “Pulse”.

The Parish Wardens are very pleased to tell you that Mary Vipond has kindly agreed to take over the rôle of editor, and we know she will be hounding people for articles whenever there is a need. Pulse is always looking for interesting snippets, so please give some thought to what you might like to contribute. The deadline for articles is the 2nd to last Wednesday of the month, and items should reach Mary Tel: 514-488-3485, e-mail address: maryvipond@gmail.com, or one of the two other designated persons, Wilf Hall, 450-458-7913, e-mail wghall@sympatico.ca and Paul Brierley, 450-458-1750, e-mail paul.brierley@future.ca before that deadline.

May we take this opportunity to thank Patti Ann for her great contribution as the founding editor of Pulse, which has been published faithfully every month since 2004. Also our thanks to Wilf and Paul, who continue to be on call for assistance, and Barbara Dodds, Parish Secretary, whose skills ensure that the Pulse is well presented and goes out on time.

St. Mary’s and St. James’ Church Wardens.

ETIQUETTE ON THE PHONE:

Most of us have learnt to live with ‘automated answering services’ now as a necessary part of our daily lives. But have you ever wondered what it would be like if God decided to install voice mail?

If you would like to speak to:
God, press 1
For Jesus, press 2
For the Holy Spirit, press 3
