Anglicans in Hudson …
St Lazare … Rigaud … Vaudreuil

The Parish of Vaudreuil is an historic and vibrant Christian community, just west of the island of Montreal, that gathers together to worship God, support each other and to reach out in love to the world around us.

We hope to share the good news of God’s love for all creation as handed down to us in our Anglican Tradition and embodied first and foremost in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ. We welcome all people, from any and all backgrounds, to join us in our journey of exploration, blessing, and thanksgiving as we delve deeper into our relationship with God and the true meaning and significance of our lives.

St James Hudson - 642 Main Road

St James Church, was built over 175 years ago and continues as one of the distinctive landmarks in Hudson. Located in Hudson Heights, just west of the town centre, it boasts beautiful views of the Lake of Two Mountains. The church is named after the first minister of the parish James Pyke and the iconography in one of the stained glass windows is of St James the Great and his distinctive symbol of the shell which would be familiar to anyone who had participated in the Camino in Spain.

St Mary’s Como - 261 Main Road

St Mary’s Como, is the younger of the two churches and most recently celebrated 150 years. It is located on the Eastern side of the town of Hudson that used to be incorporated as the town of Como due to its resemblance to Lake Como in Italy. The church is named after the Matriarch of one of the founding families, which so legend says, was built so that she did not have to hitch her wagon twice on a Sunday to go all the way to St James about 4 km away.
