Easter Message from the Rev. Sophie Rolland

Happy Easter!

Easter is the holiest day of the year for Christians – the day that God proclaims a giant “YES” to life. No matter how bleak and dismal life may seem, death does not have the final say.

We see this all around us. Even as we wait for winter to end, we know – we have faith – that new life will soon be sprouting out from the ground and bird song will soon fill the air. Even before all the snow has melted, the crocuses will have begun to bloom and soon the buds will be on the trees and the grass will be getting green. What had seemed like a cold, inhospitable, dead terrain will soon be full of life again.
