We are so happy to introduce to you our new Assistant Curate.

Welcome Ben!

For the next two years the Diocese is supporting us by providing a curate to work with the Rev. Sophie Rolland to build up the parish as we move into this post-pandemic world. He will be working full time in the parish as he lives into his vocation of a Deacon and then Priest. Please join in our welcome of the Rev. Benjamin Stuchbery. He offers the following letter as his introduction to us:

I am delighted to be joining the Parish of Vaudreuil for my curacy. Over the next two years I will be journeying with you, learning from you, and leading you as I continue my formation in ordained ministry.

I come to you as a recent graduate of Montreal Dio, where I received a Diploma in Ministry immediately following my completion of a Master of Sacred Theology from McGill.

I am a Montrealer by birth, though raised in British Columbia.

In addition to my vocation to the ordained ministry, I am also an avid drummer and flutist. With my wife and brother, I play in a chamber ensemble called the Cygnus Trio.

I am also a parent and a spouse. You will all get to know my wife, Erica, and our one year old son Charlie. Erica is a professional violinist by trade, as well as an avid seamstress, quilter, knitter and literary critic (check out her Anne of Green Gables podcast!)

I am looking forward to hearing all of your stories as I come to know you more fully over these next few years.

May God guide our time together.

Yours in Christ,

Ben

Who We Are ….

We are an eclectic group from many backgrounds and many generations who gather together because they share a common faith and a common connection to the Anglican Church.

Some of us have been here for decades and generations. They know all of the ins and outs of the churches and how the connections between the names on the plaques on the walls relate to local families and those who have moved away. Others, have more recently arrived to the area and are drawn to our community because of their ties to their previous communities. Still others, are searching for meaning in this modern and often impersonal world that seems to be characterized by busy-ness and not a depth of meaning.

Wherever you find yourself, please know that you are welcome here. We might not have all the answers, but we will walk with you on your journey as we help each other enter into a deeper knowledge of our world and our God.
